Granulocyte chemotactic protein 2 (GCP-2) also known as Chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 6 (CXCL6) is a small cytokine belonging to the CXC chemokine family. As its former name suggests, GCP-2 is a chemoattractant for neutrophilic granulocytes. Among human CXC chemokines, GCP?2 is most closely related to ENA?78 (78% amino acid (aa) sequence identity in the mature peptide region and 86% identity in the signal sequence). The structure and sequence of the genes for human GCP?2 and ENA?78 also exhibit close similarity suggesting the two genes may have originated from a gene duplication. GCP?2 can signal through the CXCR1 and CXCR2 receptors.

Storage & Stability Upon receiving, this product remains stable for up to 6 months at lower than -70°C. Upon reconstitution, the product should be stable for up to 1 week at 4°C or up to 3 months at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
